Monterey Garden Take Down

Monterey Take Down Garden Spray is a natural insecticide and miticide that combines 0.5% pyrethrin (from chrysanthemum flowers) with 89.5% canola oil to control a wide range of garden pests

• Active Ingredients:
  • Pyrethrin – provides rapid knockdown and control of insects.
  • Canola oil – acts as a horticultural oil, suffocating insects and controlling eggs

  • Concentrate – mix with water (2.5–5 Tbsp per gallon) for application.
  • Ready-to-Use (RTU) – 22 oz spray bottle, apply directly from the container

Pest Control

Effective against most garden pests, including:

• Aphids, Japanese beetle, Colorado potato beetle
• Caterpillars, leaf rollers, mealybugs, leafhoppers
• Scale, whiteflies, plant bugs, thrips, psyllids, mites 

Uses

• Indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse applications
• Vegetables, fruit trees, grapes, strawberries, citrus, houseplants, bedding plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs
• Safe to use up to harvest on edible crops 

Application Rates

• First application: Use higher rate (5 Tbsp concentrate per gallon) for best control.
• Subsequent applications: Reduce to 2.5 Tbsp per gallon, weekly until the insect cycle is broken 
• Dormant season use: Apply higher rate to control eggs, scales, mealybugs, mites 

Precautions

• Oils can remove blue blooms from certain evergreens; test a small area first 
• Avoid on oil-sensitive plants.
• Shake well before use for thorough coverage
